Mrs South Africa crowned at Emperors Palace.
Everyone who attended the Mrs South Africa pageant, at Emperors Palace, on October 5, surpassed even the highest expectations.
The evening was a spectacular production, drawing on inspiration from 22 of the country’s most glamorous married women and delivering a powerful celebration of feminine beauty and intelligence.
The 22 finalists, who represented their country and their home towns proudly, are all married women who are dedicated to creating a loving and safe environment for their families, as well as being devoted to the improvement of their communities and South Africa.
Joani Johnson, director of the Mrs South Africa Pageant, said: “The standard was incredibly high, the entire event was a magnificent success and, most importantly, we have a new Mrs South Africa.
“She is extremely deserving of the title, and we take great pride in announcing that Mrs South Africa 2014 is Chané de Kock, from Cape Town.
“We wish you all the success with your reign.”
De Kock (28) hails from Stellenbosch in the Cape, and is a married mom of three children who works as a health consultant.
She walked away with a prize package valued at over R600 000.
The prize includes a new Cabrio DS3 from Citroen South Africa and Citroen Hatfield, treatments from The Laser Beautique valued at over R20 000, and Veaudry hair tools and styling for the year of her reign. D’Ore fashion will dress Mrs South Africa 2014 during her reign and will strive to make sure she is always impeccably attired when attending to her duties as a South African ambassador.
Runners-up to the title were first princess Chantelle Swart, from Pretoria, and second princess Kholofelo Chademanah, from Bryanston, Johannesburg.
Johnson added: “The Mrs South Africa pageant, along with host Emperors Palace and sponsors Citroen, D’Ore, The Laser Beautique and Veaudry International, would like to congratulate these three incredible women, as well as all the finalists who took part in this extravagant affair.”
