Celebrities enjoy glittering function in their honour

Celebrities came out on full force to enjoy the You Spectacular event.

Two of the most beautiful women in South Africa, Jeannie D (left) and Zuraida Jardine, attended the You Spectacular in the Emperors Palace Centre Court, on June 7. Jeannie D was once again named "Sexiest Woman" at the glittering event, which is regarded as South Africa's biggest and most respected celebrity awards function, with the panel of judges being You Magazine's two million readers. The winners of this year’s YOU Spectacular awards were revealed at a glittering ceremony, at Emperors Palace, on June 7.

The event kicked off with a fantastic performance by Mi Casa, of their hit Jika, which included a flashmob from the audience.

The popular house band went on to win the Favourite Music Star award later in the evening.

The stunning Jeannie D once again nabbed the award for Sexiest Woman, while fellow Top Billing presenter Janez Vermeiren came out tops in the Sexiest Man category.

Most Stylish Male Celeb went to Expresso presenter Katlego Maboe, and Most Stylish Female Celeb to the beautiful Bonang Matheba.

Fabulous musical performances included a rendition of You Sexy Thing, by Vusi Nova, and a duet by Zolani Mahola and Nakhane Tour‚ of the Depêche Mode song, Somebody.

Comedian Anne Hirsch brought her unique style to the proceedings as host of the show, and guest presenters included actor and presenter Nico Panagio, model and actress Boity Thulo, swimming champion Ryk Neethling and fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee.
