Unique Physique Gym has upgraded and moved to new premises since the beginning of the year.
“We moved from Shamrock Road and are now on the corner of Rietfontein and Poppy streets,” said one of the owners at the club, Marius Wessels.
“Our members have always been eager to move to a much bigger building and we are happy with the premises we found.”
“With the bigger space we are able to have more weights and more machines.”
The gym’s hours have been extended and more people are welcome to join the club.
“From Monday to Thursday the gym is open from 4am to 9pm; on Friday from 4am to 8pm, and at weekends we open from 7am to noon,” Wessels added.
“We offer all-round fitness and bodybuilding, from weight loss, fitness and nutrition, to advanced bodybuilding and fitness competition preparation, for both men and women, and we cater for the young and the old.”
“The gym has produced amazing results over the past few years and we will strive to improve in the future.”
“Anzelle Koekemoeor, competing in the woman’s fitness division, was placed first at several competitions throughout the year 2014, including a first at the provincial championships.
“Werner Cloete was placed third in the novice division, Lucky Tankiso was placed first in a number of competitions and achieved provincial colours, and Logan Wessels, competing in the junior u-16 category, also made podium, in third position, in competitions last year.”
Wessels also said that athletes from other sporting codes are welcome to train at the gym.
“All are welcome; we have soccer and rugby players who come to train as well.”
“In these highly stressed times getting into a fit and healthy lifestyle does wonders for the young and old alike,” he explained. For more information, contact Wessels on 071 333 7668.
