Sakzo Doosum, a local hip-hop artist, is flying the Kathorus flag high around South Africa.
According to Nkemi Mosia, the artist’s manager, Sakhile Dladla (25), popularly known as Sakzo Doosum in the music industry, is a rapper, writer and producer.
“Dladla comes from the East of Johannesburg in a small area called Spruitview. His music journey began in 2007 at age 16. He started with learning how to make beats and then moved on to writing and reciting rhymes,” said Mosia.
Mosia said that in 2008 Dladla became a part of a group that he formed with friends called YSS, which he then left to focus on his solo career and personal growth as an artist.
“The six years in the group taught him a whole lot and exposed him to good platforms. He shared the stage with some prominent names in the music and entertainment industry, such as Black coffee, Spikiri, DJ Fresh, Vinny da Vinci, Oskido, Vetkuk & Mahoota, Christos, Spectacular & Naves, Red Button, Sean Pages, Proverb, L-tido, Warras, Kwesta, Reason, and Blacklez, just to name a few,” said Mosia.
Dladla spoke to Kathorus MAIL about the albums he is busy with at the moment.
“I released a single called ‘Too Much’ online on September 30. That means I have put great effort into my music and people won’t regret going online (www.datafilehost.com/d/b8a68fee) to download my music.
“That single will be part of the project I am currently busy with, which will be released next year. The project will be titled ‘The dream EP’ which stands for ‘The Dream Executive Producer,” said Dladla.
Dladla went on to talk about his role in YSS, the group that he formed with his childhood friends. “I worked well with my friends to form that group but as I wanted to grow as an artist I had to leave them and focus on my solo career.
“I was part of the group as an artist, songwriter as well as producer.”
Dladla added, “My single is doing very well in terms of downloads. Those who would like to know more can contact my manager, Nkemi Mosia, on 073 576 1991.”
