Group of kind-hearted youth need support
Khoza also mentioned that they have helped matriculants by advising them on how to choose careers that are better suited to their personalities and they are continuing to do so.
A small group of young entrepreneurs from Vosloorus known as the Umswenko Team is doing good deeds for the community out of their own pockets.
Umswenko Team has cleaned up and uplifted an abandoned site into a proper, clean and environmentally friendly park.
Umswenko has planted trees and grass to contribute to the “Go Green” nationwide campaign and helping the world to breathe clean air.
Umswenko hosts promotional fun days/events in the same park.
According to one of the group members, Noluthando Khoza, all that they do is out of love.
“We even dig deep from our own pockets so as to make sure that we do good things for them and that they participate in all the activities that we host.
“We are a group of about 20 and aged between 18 and 25 – all of us are based in Vosloorus, Eastfield. We host socially enlightening events like the June 16 Youth Day, where people from our community come together and discuss ways on how to build and maintain a progressive society.
“We also invite famous DJs and other role models to give advice to the youth,” said Khoza.
Khoza also mentioned that they have helped matriculants by advising them on how to choose careers that are better suited to their personalities and they are continuing to do so.
“We have also held Mother’s Day celebrations, Heritage Day events as well as Christmas day celebrations for people who can’t afford to have a fancy Christmas dinner at their homes.
“Our vision is growing in such a way that we can’t do it on our own, we would like to have a helping hand. Anyone who would like to help us can do so. They can help by being part of us or by offering some financial help so that we can make a success of our vision,” Khoza concluded.
