Lots of fun in store for the school holidays at Carnival City

Keep the children entertained with fun activities.

Carnival City has upped the fun factor for the stay-at-homers these holidays.

The “funtastic” holiday programme is jam-packed with activities like magic shows, arts and crafts.

Balloon modellers and stilt walkers make their appearances between noon and 5pm daily during the holidays.

On June 30, and July 8 and 15 imaginations come alive as children gather round at 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm for installments of Crazy Ken’s Magic Show.

The magic does not end here.

Arts and crafts inspire creativity with different activities scheduled for maximum stimulation from noon.

Children will love playing outdoors at the Pocket Park at Carnival City.

Decorate a gingerbread man on July 1, decoupage on recycled glass on July 7 and make a personalised beaded keyring on July 14.

“We are as dedicated to keeping children entertained during the holidays as we are to hosting our adult clients.

“We promise hours of fun and entertainment all at one, convenient destination,” said Michelle Smith, the marketing manager for Carnival City.

The Lazer Zone at Carnival City is another thrilling adventure for youngsters from six years upwards to consider.

Weaving their way through a three-layered darkened maze, players must “hunt” their opponents and avoid being targeted.

The game is made all the more exciting with light from UV lights and UV wall paint shining through the hazy interior created by smoke machines.

The Lazer Zone is open from 10am until midnight during school holidays.

Other exciting activities to enjoy at Carnival City include ten pin bowling and arcade games at the Magic Company, go-karting, and outdoor play at the Pocket Park.

For those seeking more laidback entertainment, there is Carnival City Ster-Kinekor.

The cinema complex boasts six plush cinemas, including two 3D cinemas, featuring state-of-the-art sound and visual equipment to ensure a crisp and clear experience.

Carnival City Ster-Kinekor screens all the latest movies daily.
