Meet Simon and Siouxsie from Snakes in the City

Learn more about snakes from Snakes in the City pair.

Fans of Simon Keys and Siouxsie Gillett from Snakes in the City as seen on Nat Geo WILD will get a chance to meet and greet the reptile-loving pair when they stop over at Carnival City as part of their Gauteng tour.

They will be at Carnival City during the school holidays on June 23 from noon to 3pm and on June 24 from 3pm to 6pm.

There is no cost to meet them and some of their reptilian friends.

Keys, who caught his first snake at the tender age of 10 in a wasteland near his home, described it as the day he found his lifelong passion.

Gillett, who is all for defending the misunderstood, was drawn to snakes as they have a bad reputation.

“I kept them as pets from a young age.

“My aim is to change people’s attitude towards them,” Gillett said.

Although Gillett has been keeping and working with snakes for over 20 years, she only became a professional snake catcher when she started dating Simon in 2015.
