Music and rugby to kick-start the long weekend
Don’t miss out on a fun-filled evening at Carnival City.
Well-known Toks van der Linde (of Toks en Tjops) and singing duo Christo and Cobus (Die Broers) are heading to Carnival City for an evening of fun and rugby to kick-start the long weekend.
Catch them at Applause@Bru’s on August 8 at 8pm.
The legendary Toks will be talking all things rugby and present a rugby quiz to test the audience’s knowledge, while Christo and Cobus add a musical twist to the evening.
Toks became known for the excellent rugby he played as prop for both Western Province and the Springboks.

After retiring from rugby, he became a well-known presenter on television with successful programmes such as Oor Die Kole and Toks en Tjops, one of KykNET’s most popular shows.
The multi-talented Toks is also well-known in the corporate world and is often the guest speaker at functions where, from time to time, he may belt out some Figaro, his most popular opera rendition.
Known to get any party started, Christo and Cobus will perform Trein na Margate, 7 X 70 and countless other toe-tapping, clapping favourites.
