The water bill is a millstone around our necks. My proposal is that standard payment of between R300 to R500 per month should automatically be deducted by Sassa.
For example, if there are 500 000 pensioners paying a standard R500, the R25 000 every month from pensioners could go straight into the coffers of the local government without fail.
The local and provincial government can alleviate this millstone around our necks as we are really pulling hard as pensioners.
