Mbalula calls for road safety

Minister Mbalula called on all South Africans to join the awareness campaign by Hooting for Life Arrive Alive at 12 noon everyday until December 31.

The Minister of Transport, Mr Fikile Mbalula lead a Road Safety Awareness Campaign earlier this month when he was joined by the Gauteng Provincial and Metro Police Law Enforcement Officers.

Minister Mbalula called on all South Africans to join the awareness campaign by Hooting for Life Arrive Alive at 12 noon everyday until December 31.

This campaign forms part of the intensified 365-days, “Waya-Waya” Arrive Alive National Road Safety Campaign.

Amongst the main pillars of the intensified Road Safety campaign for the Festive Season period are:

  • “No drinking and driving”
  • ·“Always buckling up”
  • “Promotion of daytime driving”
  • “Vehicle roadworthiness”
  • “Pedestrian visibility”
