Malajika selected for the Elite squad.
Southerner Miranda Malajika was selected for the Sanabo Elite squad for the Olympic qualifiers, which will take place in Paris.
The Gauteng Boxing Organisation (GBO) would like to congratulate Malajika on being selected. He outperformed the boxers in his weight class at the elite trials that took place in Dundee last year and has been given the opportunity to represent Gauteng and South Africa in the international arena.
He is a member of the South Hills Boxing Club and is the reigning 2021 South African champion in the 57kg division. He continues to excel in his boxing career.
Cherry Apple Media, a leading marketing and advertising agency based in Johannesburg is a longstanding sponsor of the South Hills Boxing Club.
Ziyad Beg, manager at Cherry Apple Media, has sponsored Malajika with branded training gear, equipment and accessories. Head coach at the South Hills Boxing Club Lyle Fortoen said he is proud of Malajika’s achievements and the level of discipline and commitment he continues to display.
“Looking ahead, it doesn’t seem like there’s any limit to what Malajika can achieve in his boxing career. We wish him all the best.”
