One arrested, three injured at Thokoza following attempted business robbery
Police are following leads to trace and arrest the remaining three suspects.
One of four suspects has been arrested at Letsoho Shopping Centre after an attempted business robbery which left three women injured at PEP Stores on December 5.
According to Thokoza SAPS station commander Colonel Dirk Badenhorst, the suspects attempted to rob PEP Stores when they were stopped by security officials and the community.
Badenhorst said three others escaped the scene.
“The suspect informed police that he is from Hillbrow and his accomplices are from Kathorus,” said Badenhorst.
“The first victim was shot and sustained bullet wounds on both her left and right thighs. Two other victims suffered bullet scratch wounds on the knee and thigh.”
He said the first victim was transported to the Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital for medical attention.
Badenhorst said police are following leads to trace and arrest the remaining three suspects.
