New release from Mmuso Worship marks a fresh chapter in youth worship
Mmuso Worship introduces Zion, blending modern youth culture with gospel music to create an inclusive, city-wide worship movement.
Mmuso Worship will release its anticipated new single, Zion, on February 6, ahead of the collective’s upcoming Easter album.
More than just a release, Zion marks the start of a bold new chapter, which is the establishment of Mmuso Worship as a national worship movement committed to reviving gospel music for a new generation.
Evolving from a Pretoria-based choir into a movement with national influence, Mmuso Worship is reimagining worship to speak directly to today’s youth.

Their sound blends authenticity, creativity, and revival, rooted in youth culture while remaining spiritually grounded.
With a youth-focused strategy, the movement meets young people where they are – in churches, schools, concerts, cultural spaces, and online platforms – building meaningful, long-term engagement.
“Alongside the music, Mmuso Worship will roll out storytelling initiatives such as Just as you are, a series exploring faith, belonging, and personal journeys,” said senior marketing specialist Tlhalefang Ndlondlolozi.

“Documentary-style features will also see artists and choir members return to the people and places that shaped their faith.
“Taking worship beyond traditional stages, Mmuso Worship will host pop-up performances in public spaces including theatres, train stations, and city streets, offering raw, accessible worship with no tickets and no barriers,” said Ndlondlolozi.
With Zion, Mmuso Worship invites South Africa into a new era of worship: present, powerful, and for the people.
