Trade Minister Parks Tau tests positive for Covid-19
Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition Parks Tau is in self-isolation after testing positive for Covid-19 and has urged recent contacts to take precautionary measures.
The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) confirmed the diagnosis in a statement issued on Wednesday, June 3, saying the minister is in good spirits and recovering in self-isolation.
According to the department, Tau is following the necessary health protocols after receiving a positive test result.

The minister has also encouraged anyone who may have recently been in contact with him to get tested and remain vigilant.
“Minister Tau would like to encourage those who have been in contact with him recently to get tested and exercise precautionary measures,” the department said in its statement.
No further details regarding the minister’s condition were provided.
The department said Tau continues to recover while observing self-isolation protocols.
