Eskom, Lesedi Local Municipality care about learners
Representatives of Eskom and municipality do safety awareness campaign at school
Lesedi Local Municipality in partnership with Eskom embarked on an electricity safety awareness campaign for learners of the Foundation Phase at Shalimar Ridge Primary School this morning.
Not only did the learners learn more about how electricity is generated, how does it get to our homes and the do’s and dont’s of using electricity wisely, but they also had the opportunity to have a bit of fun with Nhlanhla Madlala from Eskom. Nhlanhla taught the children an Eskom song and a couple of kids had the opportunity to answer electricity related questions and win cool prizes.
The Executive Mayor of Lesedi Local Municipality, Councillor Lerato Maloka, Councillor Smangela Sibeko (MMC) and Jacqueline Chauke (manager of Lesedi’s electrical department) attended the proceedings.
