
From the 152 matrics of Nigel High School, 55 distinctions were produced collectively. The school scored a pass rate of 97.3% which is a significant improvement from 92% last year. 53.3% Of learners qualified for a university admission to a Bachelor’s degree and 42.5% for a national diploma. Shanese Booysen is the top achiever with four distinctions for Afrikaans (first additional language), History, Life Orientation and Business Studies. Short on her heels with three distinctions each is Chanté Mentoor (Afrikaans – first additional language, Life Orientation, Business Studies) and Thando Thamana (Mathematics, Life Orientation and Life Sciences).
