Learners from Nigel Primary initiates ‘project water drive’

NIGEL - The grade 7 class of Nigel Primary School recently launched a project to assist in alleviating the country’s water shortage through water donation.

Operation Hydrate has called on South Africans to continue donating water because the drought continues to affect millions of people. Nigel Primary School responded to this call and launched its own water drive in March, which saw around 1 000 litres of water collected by the learners.

Local resident and businessman Fatima Casoojee procured the water collection on April 5 and delivered it to an Operation Hydrate distribution site in Johannesburg. A total number of 12 408 900 litres of water have been distributed by Operation Hydrate since January.
