Dog poisoning on the rise in Nigel
NIGEL - Dog poisoning is also on the rise again, especially in the Noycedale area.

Residents are warned that most cases of poisoning occur at night. Meat based products are used to maliciously kill dogs.
Inside the meat, a poison (Aldicarb/Two Step) appears as tiny black granules. Symptoms of poisoning can show within five minutes and include weakness, paralysis, nausea or vomiting, salivation, muscle tremors and pupil constriction. In such cases time is essential and a dog poison first aid kit may safe your animal’s life. For more information on the dog poison first aid kit, contact Nigel CPF on 082 424 6440.
“Train your dog to eat dried dog pellets only and never to take food from other people,” W/O Von Wielligh warned.
