Help police to find a car thief posing as ‘traditional healer’

DUDUZA - Police are looking for a suspect posing as a traditional healer.

According to W/O Yakub Rasool from SAPS Duduza, he is suspected of motor vehicle theft which occurred during a so called treatment session on 29 December 2014.

The 26 year old female victim went to the traditional healer for treatment around 19:45. During the session she was taken into a room for a traditional healing practice and left her car keys in the main healing room. After a while she realised it was taking too long and attempted to open the door, but it was locked. When she called out for the healer, she received no reply. She later managed to exit through a window and went back into the main room where she found that her car keys were missing. She went to look for her car and discovered it was no longer where she had parked it. She then went to Tembisa police station to report the incident.

Despite a two year investigation into the matter, SAPS have not been able to locate the suspect and needs assistance from the public. Anyone with information that may lead to the apprehension of this man, can phone W/O Goodboy Manci on 073 046 4948 or during office hours on 011 747 0300.
