Update: DA has taken the lead in Ward 88 in prelim results
NIGEL - Voters braved cold and windy conditions to cast their vote in Nigel (including Alrapark and MacKenzieville) on August 3.
Capt Madeleine von Wielligh from SAPS Nigel said there were no incidents reported and that voting continued smoothly until closing time yesterday.
Results have trickled in since the start of the morning, but the final results for Ward 88 (Nigel) is not yet available.
According to DA candidate councillor Wollaston Labuschagne, the results for Ward 88 at around 10:45 this morning, were as follows: DA 64,79%, ANC at 23,91%.
He did confirm that counting is still underway and results are not yet finalised.
