In a statement released on October 24, EMM said the water interruption is due to the connection of a new pipe, which will replace the old weathered steel pipe.

Areas that will be affected by the water interruption are Nigel town and all extensions, Pretoriusstad, Vorsterskroon, Alrapark, MacKenzieville and Sub-Nigel.

Water tankers will be placed at The Angelo Mall, Ferryvale Shopping Centre, Nigel Primary School, Nigel Correctional Service, Nigel Customer Care Centre, Arapark Community Hall, Alrapark Clinic and Alrapark Secondary School.

EMM apoligised for any inconvenience caused by the interruption.
