Heidelberg Hospital celebrates 100th birthday
Hospital described as ‘Beacon of hope’ for Heidelberg.
Distinguished guests gathered at Heidelberg Hospital today to celebrate the centenary. Guest speakers included Mrs K Rakitla (MMC: Lesedi Local Municipality) and Mrs B Modisakeng (Executive Mayor: Sedibeng District Municipality).
Former employees of the hospital were among the special guests who attended. Dr Ronnie Masilela (CEO) recited an Afrikaans poem written by Dr AG Visser after whom the hospital was first named.
