The following Grade 4 and Grade 5 learners from Nigel Secondary School battled it out in a class level Spelling Bee, which took place at the school on May 7: Sibusisiwe Maseko, Zuhair Khan, Todi Muremi, Nonhlanhla Congwane, Naledi Motaung, Teboho Moloi, Joseph Mutendamambo, Morongwa Mathebe, Tyrese Chigogo, Mthandeni Mavunda, Cora Kaloo Janoo, Ashley Sithole, Afia Marcus and Gugu Msibi.
Grade 6 learners Naledi Dyanti, Sibongakonke Zulu, Ayesha Patel, Jeshua Smith and Boikanye Fakude from Nigel Primary School also participated in the class level Spelling Bee on May 7. Ayesha will represent the school at district level of the Spelling Bee competition later this year.
