
A burglary occurred at at house in Kappertjie Street on July 31. According to police spokesperson Capt Tshilate, a television and microwave oven worth around R4 400 were reported stolen.
A burglary occurred at a vacant house in AG Visser Street, Rensburg on August 2, where copper cables worth around R15 000 were stolen. Police issued a stern warning to house owners to ensure the protection of outside equipment such as geysers, as recent statistics indicate that thugs are now targeting copper cables.
Police are investigating a theft case, after an amount of R3 300 had been stolen from a victim’s bank account on August 2. The suspect is under investigation.
An armed robbery occurred on the N3 freeway near De Hoek Plaza on August 3. According to Capt Tshilate, personal items to the value of around R4 100 were reportedly stolen from a truck driver. No arrests have been made.

Police are investigating a case of theft, following the disappearance of a generator from a house in Romyn Street on August 3. The value of the stolen generator is around R1 800.
Police arrested a suspect for possession of and dealing in dagga in Voortrekker Street on August 4. He is expected to appear in Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court soon.
