Nigel crime report – 21 to 27 January

A burglary occurred at a house in Snake Park, Alrapark on January 21. According to police spokesperson Sgt Nellie Dwaba, food to the value of around R7 000 was reported stolen.

Police are investigating a case of theft out of a motor vehicle, after an incident which occurred in Northern Road on January 21. A car radio, cellphone, iPhone and books were reported stolen.

 
A burglary occurred at a house in Caledon Road on January 22 where a DVD player and speaker system were reported stolen. Another burglary occurred the same day at a house in Eeufees Street, where a laptop, tablet and grinder were reported stolen.

 
Thugs have stolen the wheels off a Hilux bakkie in Milner Street, Noycedale on January 22 and the following day, a spare wheel was reported stolen off a vehicle in Sheffield Street.

 
Police are also investigating a case of burglary after an incident which occurred at a house in York Street on January 23. According to Sgt Dwaba, the house was ransacked. A laptop and passport were reported stolen.

 
A burglary occurred at a factory in Vorsterskroon on January 23, where a door was forced open to gain access to the building. A computer screen, speakers and a tool box were reported stolen.

 
A car (Toyota Hilux) was stolen outside a factory in First Avenue, Vorsterskroon on January 24.

 
A burglary occurred at a house in Mawag, Alrapark on January 24 where a television, DVD player and electrical cables were reported stolen.

 
A case of malicious damage to property was reported to the police, following an incident that occurred in Von Geusau Street on January 25. According to Sgt Dwaba, police are investigating a young male who caused thousands of rand’s damage to his mother’s property.

 
A car was reported stolen from a house in Bloubok Avenue, Alrapark on January 25.

 
Police are investigating a house robbery which occurred in Alrapark on January 26. According to Sgt Dwaba the robbery occurred during a power outage at around 01:30.

 

The house owner was reportedly woken by a loud noise and upon investigation he walked into an armed African male inside his house. The suspect’s face was hidden behind a balaclava. The suspect aimed at him, but as the house owner moved closer, the suspect ran out the front door. Several items among which a television, cellphones and cash were reported stolen.

 
A case of mag wheel theft was reported to the police on January 27, after three wheels (rims) were stolen off a car that was parked at a house in Milner Street.
