Farmers invited to men’s prayer event at Selection Park

Farmers and men who support the agricultural community are invited to a prayer event at Selection Park aimed at offering encouragement and spiritual support.

Farmers and friends of farmers are invited to a non-denominational men’s prayer event on March 22 at 3 Pienaar Street in Selection Park.

The event is organised by NPC Quest for Restoration. It is intended for farmers and all men who have a heart for farmers to lift them up before the Lord for protection, provision, wisdom, perseverance and peace.

“Farmers and men in the agricultural community are facing an especially difficult and uncertain time. Many carry heavy responsibilities and are under tremendous pressure – financially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

“The current foot-and-mouth disease crisis, together with other challenges, places enormous strain on farmers, their families, and their future. We believe that now, more than ever, it is necessary for men to stand together before the Lord.

“When believing men pray in unity, it brings strength, encouragement, and renewed hope for families, farms, and communities,” said Renier van Onselen from the NPC.

The event, to begin at 15:00, will feature Barend Rautenbach, a livestock and maize farmer, as a guest speaker.

“We would also like to invite a local church to partner with us by sending a men’s prayer team to the event, if possible, with a gazebo where men can receive individual prayer and ministry. We believe many men will be encouraged by having a space where they can be prayed for and supported,” Renier said.

Any church that would like to be involved may contact Renier on 061 093 7320.

“You are also welcome to bring pamphlets with information about your men’s ministries, men’s camps, as well as your church’s information and service times. This will help men who are not part of a church to be connected to a local fellowship,” she added.
