Crime awareness campaign conducted

The Devon SAPS conducted a School Safety Awareness Campaign on September 13.

The law enforcement officials, Gauteng Crime Prevention Wardens and AgapeLerato Community Services visited Sithembiso Primary School in Devon.

Learners sensitised to the dangers were in Grades Five, Six and Seven.

The visit aimed to educate the learners about crime, bullying, theft, illegal activities, human trafficking, gangs, drugs, sexual harassment and dangerous weapons.

After the presentation, the learners were encouraged to focus on their studies, respect their teachers and elders, and report any criminal activities to their teacher, who will contact the SAPS.
