Organisations play soccer to create prostate cancer awareness

The matches were held at the Pholosong Hospital grounds.

SADTU Brakpan, Tsakane SAPS and Dunnottar’s Nokuthela Clinic recenly participated in friendly soccer games at the Pholosong Hospital grounds.

According to SADTU Brakpan BEC member responsible for Sports, Arts and Culture, Landiwe Mswete, the programme was held to create awareness of prostate cancer.

“We encourage all men to get tested for prostate cancer. Most men find out when it’s too late that they have the disease and finding out early can help them beat it, they should go for regular checkups,” she said.

Nokuthela were the overall winners on the day after beating SAPS 2-1 and beating SADTU 4-1.
