Changes to the Devon CPF leadership
The outgoing CPF members were thanked for their services.
The Devon CPF held a meeting to elect new leadership on October 16.
The stakeholders present were the Devon SAPS station commander, Captain Monica Segwale, the Devons SAPS Social Prevention and Communication co-ordinator, the Devon SAPS Vispol commander, the operation commander of Sector 1, second-hand goods and liquor compliance officers, ward committee representatives, faith-based organisation representatives, the Department of Community Safety, Crime Prevention Wardens and community patrollers.
The outgoing CPF members were thanked for their service during their terms of office.
After the welcome message, an election was held for new CPF representatives for the next term of service.
Each person could vote for their candidate.
There are specific criteria for election to the leadership board, including no criminal record or political interests.

The newly elected leadership members are:
• Sipho Nkala (chairperson);
• Sbongile Matseka (deputy chairperson);
• Thembi Mokone (secretary);
• Ellen Sibiya (deputy secretary);
• Johannes Nhlapho (treasurer); and
• Themba Zikalala (public relations officer).
