Hoerskool John Vorster class of 2025 dazzles at matric farewell

It was all glitz, luxury cars and elegant gowns as Hoërskool John Vorster's class of 2025 celebrated their matric farewell.

It was a night of glitz and glamour at Hoërskool John Vorster on Friday, October 17, as matriculants arrived in style for their long-awaited matric farewell.

Learners turned heads as they stepped out of luxurious cars, marking one of the most memorable evenings of their school career.

Teacher and organiser of the event, Sunnet Becker, expressed her pride in the learners and gratitude towards everyone who made the evening possible.

“We organised this year’s matric farewell to celebrate our learners and their journey, and I hope they enjoy every moment. A heartfelt thank you to the parents and everyone who contributed to making this event a success. I encourage our learners to study hard and stay focused as they prepare for their final exams. Do your best, and God will do the rest,” she said.

Excitement and joy filled the air as learners shared their thoughts and emotions.

Lee-Anne Lochaenberg said, “I’m happy and feel beautiful in my dress. I’m ready for the final exams; they can come at me, and I will fight back. My message to others is to study hard and stay positive.”

Mikayla Els beamed with confidence, saying, “I feel amazing, I feel like a princess, and I think I’m the prettiest girl here.”

Another learner, Reitumetsi Motaung, said, “I’m so excited because I have been waiting for this moment for so long, and I can’t believe it is finally happening.”

The evening was filled with laughter, music, and celebration, creating memories that the matriculants will cherish forever.
