Hoërskool John Vorster achieves 98.6% pass rate in 2025 matric results

The school management has praised the learners’ hard work and encouraged the class of 2026 to aim for a 100% pass rate.

Hoërskool John Vorster is celebrating outstanding matric results after achieving a 98.6% pass rate for the Class of 2025, placing the school among the top-performing schools in the region.

The results came after a demanding academic year, making the achievement more significant for learners, educators, and parents.

Deputy principal Jaap de Boer said, “We are proud of our learners and what they have achieved under difficult circumstances. Of our matriculants, 76.4% obtained a bachelor’s pass, which is a remarkable achievement and something that makes us happy,” he said.

De Boer also encouraged the Class of 2026 to prepare early for their final school year.

“Stay focused, because success starts from day one. Our goal this year is to achieve a 100% pass rate.

“Parental support plays a vital role in learner success. We encourage parents to continue motivating and supporting learners to strive for better results,” he said.
