R42 and Jordan Park residents to face planned power outage on Tuesday
Lesedi Local Municipality has scheduled a power interruption for parts of Heidelberg on March 24, as infrastructure upgrades aim to improve electricity reliability
Residents in parts of Heidelberg will experience a planned electricity outage today (March 24) as the Lesedi Local Municipality undertakes infrastructure upgrades to improve the reliability of the power supply.
According to a public notice issued on March 20, the outage will take place from 09:00 to 16:00 and will affect the R42 and parts of Jordan Park.
The municipality confirmed that the temporary shutdown is necessary to install an auto recloser at Boschfontein Plots.
The upgrade is expected to enhance the stability and efficiency of the electricity network in the affected areas.
Residents have been advised to treat all electrical points as live during the outage as a safety precaution.
The municipality thanked residents for their patience and cooperation while the work was being carried out.
