Lesedi municipality urges Ikageleng beneficiaries to select building plans before October 31

Beneficiaries of the Ikageleng Rapid Land Release Programme in Obed Nkosi have until October 31 to select their building plans and finalise the required documentation. Those who miss the deadline will automatically be allocated Typology A, according to the Lesedi Local Municipality.

Beneficiaries of the Ikageleng Rapid Land Release Programme in Obed Nkosi have been urged to finalise their documentation and select their building plans by October 31, following a notice issued by the Lesedi Local Municipality on October 21.

The municipality has called on beneficiaries to visit the Heidelberg Civic Centre during the designated period to sign the required power of attorney documents and choose from eight available building plan typologies.

Beneficiaries who have already selected a building plan must also make a new selection following the introduction of additional options. However, their new choice must remain within the square-metre size of their original selection.

The municipality has warned that beneficiaries who fail to select a building plan by October 31 will automatically be allocated Typology A.

Those who wish to submit their own building plans at their own cost are encouraged to do so. They must indicate their intention to be exempt from submissions to the municipality by the Gauteng Department of Human Settlements.

The selection process will run from October 26 to 31 at the Building Control Front Desk, Local Economic Development and Planning Offices, Heidelberg Civic Centre.

The offices will be open from 07:30 to 16:00 from October 26 to October 30. On October 31, the offices will be open from 08:15 to 15:00.

Beneficiaries requiring further information can contact the Local Economic Development and Planning Department during office hours on 016 466 1931 or 016 466 1943. Enquiries can also be sent to Lloydm@lesedi.gov.za
