NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR PROSPECTING RIGHTS THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO REGISTER AND SUBMIT THEIR CONCERNS AND NECESSARY INFORMATION RELATING TO THE PROPOSED PROSPECTING ACTIVITIES WITHIN 30 DAYS Izwe Mineral Resources (Pty) Ltd is applying for a Prospecting Rights (Ref: GP30/5/1/1/2/11014PR) of Clay, Coal, Gold Ore, Pseudocoal, Sand (General), Silver Ore and Torbanite/Oil Shale in terms of section 16 of the MPRDA, (Act 28 of 2002 as amended) on Portion of Portion 67, 68, 69 and 70 of the farm Holfontein 71 IR located in the Springs, Gauteng. Notice is given in terms of Section 16(4)b of the MPRDA and Section 41 of the EIA Regulations published in GN R517 of 11 June 2021 as amended, under the NEMA (Act 107 of 1998). The proposed activities trigger GN 517 of 11 June 2021 as amended (Listing notice 1; Activity 20) which requires a BAR to be conducted as part of the application. The BAR and EMP report is prepared in terms of Section 19 of NEMA:EIA Regulation R517. COPIES OF A DRAFT BAR and EMP ARE AVAILABLE ON REQUEST.
