Eighteen-year-old Heidelberg rugby player Billy Matthee has received a major boost in his sporting career after being selected for the BRSI Bulldogs Ireland Rugby Tour 2026.

Matthee’s selection will see him travel to Ireland later this year, where he will compete against international opposition and gain valuable experience on the global rugby stage.

The talented youngster has also been selected to represent the LSEN Valke team for the second consecutive year, an achievement that reflects his commitment, skill and continued development as a rugby player.

For Matthee, the Ireland tour represents the reward for years of dedication, hard work and sacrifice.

The opportunity provides him with a platform to test his abilities against international players while continuing to grow in the sport.
