Heidelberg Juniors deliver strong performances in Valke Rugby Youth League
Young Bergies players step up at Bosman Stadium, securing several impressive wins across multiple age groups.
Heidelberg Rugby Club Juniors recently produced a series of encouraging performances during the latest round of the Valke Rugby Youth League at Bosman Stadium in Brakpan.
The young Bergies were in action across several age groups, with several teams recording impressive victories and demonstrating their growing strength and competitiveness in the league.
The U7 tag rugby teams ended the day with one victory and one defeat, while the U8 side recovered from a narrow 5–4 loss to Meyerton to secure a convincing 6–2 win over Bobbies.
In one of the closest encounters of the day, the U9 team edged Boksburg 12–10. The U10 side, however, faced a tough challenge against Springs and suffered a 19–0 defeat.
The standout performances came from the U11 and U13 teams. The U11 side produced a dominant display to defeat Kempton 54–0, while the U13 team also impressed with a commanding 36–0 victory over Springs. The U12 team played a closely contested match against Springs, which ended in a 5–5 draw.
The results reflect a positive day for Heidelberg Rugby Club Juniors, with the teams continuing to gain valuable experience and showcase their talent in the Valke Rugby Youth League.
