After months of worry and safety concern over their children, residents of eMadamini Ext 6 in Wesselton reported to the Highvelder a sinkhole abandoned by a contractor laying water and sewer pipes in their area.
Upon the Highvelders journalist visit to the area, water was streaming down the road uncontrollably and one of the residents informed the Highvelder that a goat recently fell in the hole and filled with water and could not be rescued.
The Highvelder journalist met with one of the supervisors who was visibly unaware of the matter and requested to be taken to the area.
The supervisor immediately took recovery steps and issued a three-man team including him who drained the water and sealed the whole, much to the delight of the residents.
