62 Traffic Intervention Unit (TIU) members passed out recently after successfully completing a gruelling two weeks training programme in Phalaborwa, Limpo Province.
The intensive training included speed and accurate shooting, approach and searching vehicles.
Head of Department for Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison, William Mthombothi urged the newly trained members of the TIU to use their skills not only to enhance road safety but also contribute towards bringing to book dangerous crime suspects.
