Voice of the Community FM (VOC) was finally and officially opened today by the executive mayor of Msukaligwa Municipality Mr Sipho Bongwe during the cutting of ribbon earlier today.
In his address Mr Bongwe said this was a big day that many have been waiting for as the community of Msukaligwa now has its own community radio station.
“I’m really touched and excited about today as both the municipality and the community would use the station as a communication platform to discuss pressing issues affecting both the community and the municipality.
Station Manager, Mr Ntokozo Siluma said this is the beginning of greater things as they would love for the station to grow and compete with other radio stations.
Also present at the event was renowned motivational speaker Pastor S’thembiso Zondo who would also be giving motivational talks on the station.
