A 15-year-old schoolboy was arrested on a charge of attempted murder after a 17-year-old youth was stabbed three times in the back and once in the neck at the New Ermelo Primary School on Friday 21 August.
Police spokesman for Ermelo, Capt Carla Prinsloo, said the incident took place at around 13:30 on the school playground.
A teacher at the school transported the wounded learner to a local hospital where he was treated and later released.
It is not known what led to the incident.
Both youths are learners at the New Ermelo Primary School which accommodates learners up to Grade 9.
