With modelling accolades and entertainment experience behind him, Siphamandla Nkosi is pursuing another opportunity to advance his career.

ERMELO – From interviewing entertainment personalities to sharing stages with well-known South African artists, Ermelo’s Siphamandla Nkosi is now hoping to make his mark on the national red carpet.

The 30-year-old presenter, model and entertainer is participating in the Mister South Africa 2026 Red Carpet Presenter Search, an opportunity he hopes will bring him closer to establishing a career in the country’s entertainment industry.

For Nkosi, whose passion for fashion and entertainment sparked his interest in modelling and presenting, the competition is another step in a journey that has already seen him gain recognition in various entertainment circles.

He has won the Mr Mpumalanga Public Choice title, been recognised as Most Stylish Man of the Year and received a Best Male Model nomination at the MAMA Awards.

His experience also includes an appearance on Mzansi Magic’s Date My Family and involvement in entertainment events alongside artists such as Kabza De Small, Drihanna, Tango Supreme, Brandon Dhludhlu and Oscar Mbo.

Through his own platform, ‘Be Inspired with Siphamandla Nkosi’, he has interviewed personalities and shared stories aimed at motivating others.

However, Nkosi now has his sights set on developing his presenting career further.

“The red carpet is about more than just asking questions,” said Nkosi. “It requires confidence, personality, preparation and the ability to make people feel comfortable while capturing the excitement of an event.”

He entered the competition to challenge himself professionally and gain exposure to opportunities that could eventually lead to television, entertainment reporting and digital media.

The search gives aspiring presenters an opportunity to demonstrate their interviewing abilities, confidence and personalities, with the prospect of becoming part of the Mister South Africa red-carpet experience.

Nkosi is hoping to advance to the next stage and believes his previous experience has prepared him for the challenge.
“Being selected for this competition means a great deal to me,” he said.

“It is a validation that the work I have been putting into presenting, modelling and entertainment is being noticed.”

While the competition could open doors professionally, Nkosi also sees it as an opportunity to represent his home town and encourage other young people to pursue their ambitions.

“I am proud of where I come from, and I would love to make my community proud by representing it with confidence, humility and determination,” he said.

He thanked those who have already supported him, saying every vote, message and word of encouragement has contributed to his journey.
