Police informants have assisted in the arrest of three dagga and drugs suspects in separate incidences in Mbombela.
A 58 year old male was arrested in Plaston near White River in possession of 670 kg of dagga, 50 ml dagga oil, 52 capsules of dagga powder and a 20 kg of suspected ephedrine.
In Thulamahashe, two more suspects were arrested in their housefor possession of 42 plastic bags and 6 containers with dagga.
Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Vusi Shongwe applauded the developments and said crime can be combated if communities get involved.
“Reporting crime is not a favour to the police but a contribution to fighting crime in the communities we all leave in,”said Shongwe.
Shongwe also commended the Polices’ swift and quick response as it boosts the community’s faith in the Police.
