Ermelo: The naked body of an unidentified young girl, believed to have been between 14 and 16 years old was found in a ditch next to the Mpumalanga Stadium in Wesselton at about 07:15 on morning, Sunday 14 August.
Police spokesperson for Ermelo, Capt. Carla Prinsloo said it is believed the victim had been strangled and raped.
The girl’s clothing a black jean, a white and black striped T-shirt and black school shoes were found at the scene.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that can help in identifying the victim or that can lead to the arrest of the perpetrator or perpetrators to urgently contact Capt Khanyile on 082 373 8389 or 017 819 2321.
