Bags of goodies for local residents
WISSH is a local women's forum with a group of dedicated Muslim women who take great pleasure in assisting those in need.
The Women’s Islamic Society Serving Humanity (WISSH) embarked on an Operation Handbag project last week in commemoration of Women’s Month and in conjunction with 67 minutes for Nelson Mandela.
WISSH is a local women’s forum with a group of dedicated Muslim women who, with the help of the Almighty and the kindness of the community, take great pleasure in assisting those in need.
The local WISSH forum urged women in the community to donate a pre-loved handbag filled with various articles such as scarves, lip ice, lotions, ointment, facecloths and hot water bottles and place these handbags into a gift bag.
The 67 handbags were donated to senior citizens of Ermelo on 16 August and were gratefully accepted by the recipients.
WISSH would like to thank all those who contributed to making the project a success.
