Suspect arrested for selling explosives to police

Investigations are underway to determine the origin of the explosives and a possible link to other crimes in and around the area.

A 41-year-old Mozambican man appeared in the Vosman Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 2 February, following his arrest on Wednesday for attempting to sell explosives to a police officer at the KG Mall Vosman (Emalahleni).

Mpumalanga Hawks spokesperson, Captain Dineo Sekgotodi said in a statement the suspect was found in possession of explosives and detonators with an estimated value of R85 000.

Investigations are underway to determine the origin of the explosives and a possible link to other crimes in and around the area.
