Chrissiemeer Police nabbed two people in separate incidents for the possession of marijuana at a roadblock on the N17.
Mfana Gcina Zibulo (27) was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with a street value of R2 000, while Pule Samuel Gilimba (43) faced the same charge after marijuana was found stashed in the body of his bakkie.
The marijuana was valued at R22 000 and his vehicle was confiscated.
Both men appeared at the Ermelo Magistrates’s Court.
Gilimba received bail with his case postponed to 2 June while Zibulo was remanded in custody, as he is a foreign national and his case will be heard on 23 June at the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court.
