Chrissiesmeer police made a gruesome discovery when they found the body of 72-year-old Mina Khumalo in Nganga Village, Warburton,last week.
According to police, the deceased was found on top of her bed with both legs tied with a rope.
Police suspect the culprits gained entrance by force as the victim was living alone.
A case of murder has been opened and no arrests have been made.
