A 27-year-old man was hijacked on Sunday morning, 5 August at around 10am at the last robot on the Hendrina road.
According to Ermelo Police, the man alleged he was waiting for the traffic light to turn green, when he was confronted by three men who had ascended from a bakkie that was in front of him.
The one assailant opened the door on the driver’s side of the complainant’s vehicle, a Toyota Hilux bakkie with registration number HB 39 HT GP, and forced him to move to the passenger seat.
The other two assailants climbed into the back of the vehicle. The assailants drove off.
The complainant managed to get out of the vehicle and the suspects drove away with his bakkie.
Police are investigating the matter.
