Two men found in possession of stolen copper cable worth R10 000 in Chrissiesmeer

According to reports, the men were caught by the Chrissiesmeer Police during a routine patrol, near the dumpsite, after they found the men busy making fire with the cables.

Two men were arrested for being in possession of stolen copper cables in KwaChibikhulu township, in Chrissiesmeer on Monday, 4 March.

According to reports, the men were caught by the Chrissiesmeer Police during a routine patrol near the dumpsite, when they found the men busy making fire with the cables.

“They were immediately arrested and we found that the stolen copper cables were worth an estimated R10 000,” Chrissiesmeer Police spokesman, Const Patience Ngozo, said.

The suspects appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 5 March.
