Station commander says Ermelo Police will be more visible over festive season
Kindly take note that the police take a zero tolerance approach in terms of alcohol related offenses such as drinking in public or driving while under the influence of liquor as well as reckless or negligent driving and crimes against vulnerable groups such as elderly people, women or children.
The police faced many challenges during the past year.
The biggest challenge was policing the general elections during May.
The police were further faced with strikes and protest actions apart from the daily policing activities such as the prevention and investigation of crime.
I want to thank all the different role players and members of Ermelo community who supported the Police the past year.
Without your assistance we will not be able to succeed in the fight against crime.
Your assistance made a difference. You helped us bring justice to criminals.
Please continue giving the police your support.
We are nearing the end of the year and entering the festive season.
If you are away, please safeguard your property or ask someone you trust to keep an eye on your house and property while you are away.
Be aware that criminals know that people are more relaxed and tend to have huge amounts of cash or other valuable items on their person or in their vehicles.
Criminals jump at the opportunity to rob and steal.
Ermelo Police will be more visible during the festive season.
Kindly take note that the police take a zero tolerance approach in terms of alcohol related offenses such as drinking in public or driving while under the influence of liquor as well as reckless or negligent driving and crimes against vulnerable groups such as elderly people, women or children.
I wish you a peaceful and joyous festive season and a prosperous 2020.
May we continue to work together to make Ermelo a safe town.
